What began as a small family business, traveling the world connecting quality producers to local mom-and-pop stores, has grown to an international wholesale operation. We've kept our heartfelt commitment to quality products and supporting local storeowners with great selection and competitive prices.
We have evolved over the years. Originally started in 1990 by Gilbert Gray, we were known as Gray Enterprises. We specialized in Moldavite, Heart Shaped Stones, Handmade Gold and Stone Jewelry, and various other stone products.
In 1998, Danna Loori and Gil Gray met, fell in love, and were married in 2000; the business and it’s owners moved to New Mexico. Gil and Danna had many mutual friends in the metaphysical and stone world and Danna brought a new perspective to the business. Replacing Gray Enterprises, Happy Heart Enterprises was formed in 2003 - expanding both in product categories represented, and in customers. Danna and Gil traveled the country in an RV selling their goods to stores across the country. Their sheltie “Crystal” also joined for several years.
Starting in 2006, Daniel Groussman (Danna’s Son) became a part time sales rep for Happy Heart Enterprises. He quickly discovered a passion for the family business, selling to customers in the states surrounding New Mexico. In 2009, Daniel was supplying a gift shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico whose Buyer/Manager wanted to introduce him to her daughter. At the very next store visit Sarah was reluctantly present. The awkwardness was somewhat dampened by a mutual interest in stones. A close friendship grew from that store visit that turned into a loving relationship.
By the beginning of 2010, Sarah and Daniel took their first sales trip together. When they returned home a month later, they decided to travel through the country together in an RV, selling to stores coast to coast and visiting family members along their way. Danna and Gil were still traveling in their RV as well, so the business expanded with every new customer. Sarah and Daniel were married in 2013 and Danna officiated the wedding. At this point, Sarah and Daniel were on the road together with their cat Sadie for 9 months a year through 28 states, 23 of them twice a year. Gil and Danna were beginning to slow down their ambitions and spend less time working and more time seeing the world.
Fast forward to 2018, Sarah and Daniel bought the business from their parents and Gil and Danna officially retired. The founders still travel in an RV, though now mostly to visit Grandkids and National Parks. The business was moved to a parcel of land in a magical forest in Washington state and continues to expand. Sarah, Daniel, and Sadie still travel in their RV, but also enjoy staying home.
Rock Restock was officially opened for business in 2022 so we can keep our current customers supplied and open the doors to new customers in areas we haven’t been visiting.
It is an honor to be of service.
